This legislation sends a clear message: we value the independence and integrity of our anti-corruption commission. By ensuring appropriate remuneration and security for those who take on this crucial role, we strengthen the commission's ability to serve the people of South Australia without fear or favour. The appointment of Commissioner Townsend marks a new chapter in South Australia's fight against corruption. This bill ensures she and all future commissioners can fulfil their duties with the same independence and security as their predecessors.

One of the most important aspects of this legislation is the mandatory public consultation period. Every South Australian deserves a voice in decisions that affect our shared heritage. This is not just about procedure. It is about recognising that our heritage belongs to all of us. Public consultation has already proved invaluable in other heritage matters, such as the provisional entry of places into the Heritage Register. It often brings to light historical information, community connections and cultural values that might otherwise have been overlooked.

The committee has put forward a number of recommendations to improve the way we diagnose, treat and manage endometriosis in South Australia. We need to tackle the long delays in diagnosis. We need to support the professionals already providing dedicated and effective multidisciplinary care, where general practitioners work alongside specialists, nurses and allied health professionals. We need to ensure we provide the framework that enables the sorely needed additional dedicated multidisciplinary endometriosis clinics, particularly in public hospitals.

Supply means communities like Dunstan—vibrant, engaged and full of potential—continue to receive the support they deserve. I want to thank the teachers, nurses, paramedics, public servants, construction workers, carers, small business owners and all those who keep our state running. The Supply Bill is about making sure they can continue to do their work without disruption and with the backing of the parliament.

One of the great things about this year's festival was how it catered for everyone. Even the footy fans not at the Gather Round match were looked after, with AFL games broadcast live on big screens throughout the precinct. It meant no-one had to miss a moment; they could cheer on their team while soaking up the incredible festival atmosphere at the same time.

This bill is a critical first step towards ensuring South Australia's growth is well planned and our communities remain liveable and well serviced. Without these changes, our ability to meet housing demand would be severely constrained, limiting opportunities for sustainable development. At the same time, the Malinauskas Labor government is committed to protecting our built heritage and character areas.

It is time to renew our collective pledge: to honour the past, to care for our veterans, and to strive for peace in the future.
