The Treasurer has handed down the Malinauskas Labor Government's 2025-26 State Budget. This budget invests in in key priorities including crucial funding for police, road safety, courts and corrections as well as housing, health and education while providing cost of living relief for South Australian families.

• Investing in law and order to protect the community by growing the police force to 5000 officers

• Cost of living support for families with $200 off school fees and 2 x $100 sports & music vouchers

• $27.3 billion on infrastructure, including $656.3 on the high productivity vehicle network - working to remove trucks off Portrush Road

• Continuing to make significant investments in South Australia’s health system with a further $1.9 billion over five years to meet growing demand for services, improve our facilities and roll out new models of care and support for the community

• In January 2025, the state and Commonwealth Government signed the new Better and Fairer Schools Agreement providing an additional $1.25 billion joint investment in education over ten years, with the state contributing $340 million.

• $20 million to expand SA's resource recovery and soft-plastic recycling operations

• $26.1 million contribution towards the renewed Family, Domestic and Sexual Violence Responses National Partnership Agreement
