Following a commitment made by the Premier at my Dunstan Community Forum, I hosted a meeting of members of the Kensington Residents Association, Premier Peter Malinauskas and Minister for Planning Nick Champion in Parliament to work on further measures to strengthen demolition protections for local heritage places.

I have been determined that we have the best possible protections for our local built heritage and ensuring that people who buy character houses do so because they love them and want to preserve these beautiful and historic buildings, not because they see an opportunity for demolition.
